Restaurant Best Western Alexander Park

A very pleasant surprise at this restaurant located in the Best Western hotel in Chambéry. We chose it by chance because of the menu! We weren't disappointed at all. The welcome and service were truly delightful. The food was good, with excellent desserts in particular. Also worth noting is the park with trees, a children's playground, and a swimming pool. In short, a great time with the family!

I'm not sure what to think of this restaurant anymore. I've been a regular guest at the hotel for almost three years for business, and my experiences have been very inconsistent. Sometimes the food is excellent at reasonable prices (a three-course meal for €25), sometimes there are no set menus available, or the menu is limited with expensive dishes that are simply not good (€15 pizzas that are mediocre, €8.50 desserts that seem to have been defrosted...). The service is fairly professional but very cold and impersonal. I'm not asking to be spoken to specifically, but a smile or a "How are you?" would be appreciated. I would have given it three or even four stars, but for my last meal, I ordered a chocolate fondant (promisingly advertised on the menu), but it was just a lukewarm cake with a very runny and tasteless custard. I had the unpleasant surprise of finding a hard piece inside that looked like a piece of plastic or even a fish bone. I pointed it out to the waiter so he could tell the manager. I waited a few minutes before signing my bill. Not a word of apology or anything, just the receipt to sign, thank you, and goodbye. I'm not sure I'll eat there again.

We wanted to have dinner at the hotel restaurant (La Trattoria) on September 28th at 8:40 PM, after checking into our hotel room. At that time, we saw about four or five empty tables. The waiter told us that he had reservations for all of these tables starting at 7:00 PM for hotel guests. The restaurant was full. But since it was already almost 9:00 PM and the restaurant closed at 9:30 PM, it was unlikely that guests would arrive that late. He told us that there was nothing he could do; if you reserve a table as a hotel guest, it is reserved for you for the entire evening, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. We have never seen a hotel restaurant reserve a table for the whole evening instead of a specific time. Normally, you make a reservation for a set period, which makes much more sense.

Friendly welcome, service sometimes difficult, the food is good and the rooms are very clean.

A horror to avoid at all costs!! A cinnamon gratin dauphinois, deplorable service bordering on appalling, and hygiene that needs serious improvement. A disheveled waiter who put his thumb ring on your plate 🤮🤮🤮

A nightmare pizza at exorbitant prices this is pizza

Only the name is Italian, everything else is awful 😱. A €15 pizza, horrible. Even the little one didn't eat a thing. I'm Italian, and yours isn't Italian food...

I tried the dish of the day...a little light in terms of garnish, but the desserts were good.

Excellent dishes, with generous portions, and what's more, accompanied by draft beers from Mont Blanc. Fast service.

Arrived at 1 p.m., served at 2 p.m.... sea bream barely cooked with cold, under-seasoned vegetables...I won't be back

This is my third time staying at this hotel. And each time I have a pleasant stay. The restaurant serves delicious food 😋

The service was challenging, but the team was very friendly and responsive! Their kindness made the meal very enjoyable. Our dishes were delicious, especially the chicken ballotine. Thank you!
